Trusted, reliable and professional dog walker and pet sitter based in Mortonhall, providing dog walking services across South Edinburgh, including Gilmerton, Liberton, Buckstone, Fairmilehead, Blackford and surrounding areas.
I offer small, carefully managed group walks, creating a safe, structured and enjoyable experience for your dogs.
I’m Jo and I’ve been running Fur the Love of Paws since 2017, Keeping my groups small to ensure each dog gets the right level of attention. I specialise in small to medium sized dogs, offering group walks as well as cat visiting services.
I understand that one of the worst aspects of being a pet owner is leaving your dog when you have to work or other commitments.

My aim is to give you complete peace of mind - knowing your dog is safe, well cared for, and genuinely enjoying their day. Every dog is treated as an individual, and i always take the time to understand their personality, routine and needs.
- Small carefully managed group walks
- Canine First Aid certified
- Fully insured
- Qualified in Canine Body Language (IMDT & Victoria Stillwell)
- Registered with the City of Edinburgh Council
- Disclosure Scotland & Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Disclosure checked - I volunteer for Guide Dogs for the Blind
- Clean U.K. Driving Licence
Every dog is unique, so I’d always meet you and your dog first to discuss you and your pet’s individual requirements. I can provide your furry friend with individual attention and solo walks, or they can join in the fun and socialisation of small group dog walks. The maximum number of dogs I take on a group walk is six and I tailor the walks to suit the different personalities, and I always make sure the mix of dogs is right; because I specialize in small or medium dogs, your dog will be with dogs of a similar size they can play with.
All sessions will be a fun adventure for your pet, whilst always ensuring their safety. I personally feel it’s so important to give our furry ones as much mental enrichment and stimulation as possible. Group Walks are at least 1 full hour socialising with furry pals, running about, strolling or just sniffing good safe things. 1 hour does not include travel time – it’s a full hour walk.
